Our story began in 2003 when our daughter was born prematurely at 26 weeks and 3 days, a healthy and strong girl of 2 lbs. After long two and a half months at the hospital, she came home with us. That’s when we realized our journey had only begun. Our dedication to create a stimulating, aesthetic environment inspired by modern learning theories had fully paid off and she is thriving alongside her term born sister, a “giant” of 7 lbs and 15 ounces, that is 17 months younger.
We have searched the world for high quality, natural toys and uncluttered pieces of modern furniture. We are now very excited to launch our store INQUISITIVEkid and help make all these products accessible to other families across North America, Canada and the rest of the world. Our carefully selected products encourage creativity, instill independence and a desire to accomplish, and help foster a sense of self.
Our toys are reduced to the essential, are pure in form and colour, and do not have a predetermined way to play. Our toys are simple enough to be understood intuitively by children of all ages. They thus support independent and creative play without being educationally insistent. Our toys are solid (mostly solid wood), simple in design and construction and in consequence top in quality, durable and long lasting.
In a world full of plastic toys, battery operated, loud toys, media branded toys, one-dimensional toys with no imagination; why not choose beautiful, well-made objects that are critical to stimulating children, accelerating their development, and enhancing their well-being?
